A 19th century Italian ceramic wall decorative rosette

An Italian ceramic wall decorative rosette with a relief representation of the god Eros, with his bow and arrow, riding an eagle.
These ceramic rosettes were placed in a specially made hole, embedded in the wall, mainly above doors inside the house or in the courtyard as decorative elements.
Early 19th century
Dimension: 35 cm diameter, 6 cm depth
Condition: Excellent, no mounting marks, probably never used for its intented purpose.
